Life In Progress
I’m a working mom navigating college tuition, twin schedules, career demands, clutter, and the everyday search for more time, order, and breathing room.
My Story
I’m a mom of three: an 18-year-old daughter starting college this fall and twin 10-year-old boys heading into fifth grade. My husband and I have been together for close to 25 years and married for almost 20. We work opposite shifts, so we don’t get as much time together as we’d like, but our schedules also help us navigate the kids’ busy lives a little more easily.
For the past 13 years, I traveled with my daughter as she participated in All-Star cheer. Now that chapter has come to an end, I’m finding myself at loose ends. I’ve carried mom guilt about the time I spent away from the boys, and I’m ready to focus more intentionally on them and their extracurriculars.
I’ve also worked in my office for almost 22 years and have watched it grow from a three-person team into a team of 85. It’s incredible to look back at where we started and see how far we’ve come.
Over the last several years, I’ve realized that I neglected myself and my home while keeping up with everyone else’s needs. Now it’s time to take back control, make space for myself, and create a home and life that work better for our family.
